Constantly hungry for knowledge, Remo’s coaching philosophy is influenced by his routine consumption of books, publications and research papers combined with his “blood and sweat” experience in the field.
Born and raised in a small village in Italy, Remo began his running journey in 2017 at the age of 40. After 25 years of heavy drinking and smoking, he was inspired to make a dramatic life change. He signed up for the Austin Distance Challenge (six races of increasing distance and difficulty over a six-month span, including a 5K, the Decker Challenge, Half Marathon, and the Austin Marathon). That same year, Remo ran his first 50K and shortly thereafter began working with Jeff as his coach. Since 2019, he has successfully completed an impressive volume of races (including five 100-mile races in 2020). He went on to complete 12 ultramarathons in 12 months (nine of those were in the 100-mile distance). Remo continues to search for the next big challenge.

A self-proclaimed lover of heat, his running experience ranges from mountain terrain, sand and pavement to extreme lengths and extreme temperatures. He is a firm believer in a holistic approach to training, including mindset, hydration, lifestyle nutrition, strength, and mobility, while taking into account each athlete’s busy lifestyle. Remo lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and son.
